Care for your jewellery

Mariyeh Ghelichkhani pieces are all individually designed and crafted, using only the finest, rarest gems and precious stones. Each piece is as unique as its wearer...

Fine jewellery requires careful handling to preserve its beauty.

Avoid contact with rough or hard surfaces, as this can cause scratches or damage.

Wearing jewellery during physically demanding activities, sports, gym workouts, or swimming, can result in inadvertent knocks, scratches or damage to the fine surfaces of the stones and precious metals.

We recommend removing your jewellery before undertaking domestic chores, gardening, cooking, or before going to bed.

When not in use, store your jewellery in a secure place: its original box, pouch, or a jewellery case. Avoid placing heavy objects on or near your jewellery, as this could cause distortion or damage.

It is advisable to have your fine jewellery inspected regularly—ideally once a year—to check for any signs of damage, such as loose stones or imperfections that may not be immediately visible.

Care for precious stones and pearls

Coloured gemstones and pearls are inherently more fragile than diamonds.

They can lose their lustre when exposed to oils, lotions, perfumes, or hand soaps.

Prolonged exposure to heat or direct sunlight may also diminish their natural shine.

Opals, in particular, should not come into contact with water, as this can alter their colour and transparency. If your opal does get wet, allow it to dry naturally and avoid exposing it to high temperatures.

By following these simple care guidelines, you can help ensure your jewellery remains as beautiful and radiant as the day you first wore it.
